I have removed the nvidia driver entirely today when my laptop was almost unusable, and it kept me back to work on my project.
So apport might not help in this case, but I run it. I disabled much stuff lately, I have fewer errors even in the log. ** Description changed: I have a video playback/scrolling flickering issues on HD5500, AMD M260 Topaz. Somehow the nvidia has been automatically installed and the system didn't realize that there is no nvidia card, so almost crapped my amd card, and made half of the monitor unusable with lines.
