This bug report got missed because it was logged in the wrong category.
Graphical issues relating to the login and lock screens are still gnome-
shell issues.
The problem was mainly discussed in bug 1532508. Then bug 1768786 was
opened and it was declared fixed for gnome-shell version
3.28.2-0ubuntu0.18.04.1. Please comment in one of those bugs if you feel
the fix isn't working.
