This is a problem for quite a few people on the Apple Intel Forum. Seems most have Samsung Harddrives.
There is a trick to making a disk in normal MBR (msdos) partitioning, and still get osx on there, might try reformatting the disk in a 'msdos' format. To get OSX on there, you will have to install normally, then use something like Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the partition to an external drive.
