Doing some tests here:
Running Gutsy on client and Dapper in server
with this command:

X :1 -query <hostname_of_gutsy_machine_running_gdm>

I could login in server but couldn't logout. Had to come back to terminal
(Gnome) and ctrl-C to finish the remote session.
This gave me some keyboard err.
Then I got to the User Switcher, at Preferences, and checked the box that says
-->> Create new logins in nested windows.
After an User Switcher err, a Xnest session started and I could login into the
server... and logout too.
The changes in gdm.conf-custom didn't take any effect. Neither changing the
theme for remote sessions nor allowing TCP.
Well, that's it for now
