Public bug reported:
After hibernating and resuming my system 2 or 3 times, I find I can't
launch apps.
When I resume, I get a bubble message in the lower right corner saying that HAL
couldn't hibernate.
Any apps I try to launch either produce nothing at all (eg xchat-gnome) or a
"starting" item in the window list that vanishes after about 20 seconds.
The only exceptions appear to be Firefox and opening nautilus folders from
existing ones (but not the panel Places menu).
