Binary package hint: xorg
I am running Gutsy, which was a complete install from released version.
Video players occasionally cannot play in xv mode. x11 mode always
works.
Strangely, in the same session of xorg, I play videos successfully in xv
mode, and after a while, it starts playing every video as a
green/blue/white little streaks, audio is always fine.
In some sessions, problem does not happen at all, but then it will come
back.
