Realistically, this is very unlikely to happen. Canonical isn't going to invest in chromium on ppc64el if the upstream project doesn't. Besides, applying patches at a given point in time is one thing, but maintaining those patches over time requires a significant and sustained amount of work. Who is going to do that?
