Public bug reported: After an update of some packages by the package manager (GUI mode), an available upgrade to 18.04LTS was displayed in a new window. I clicked "OK" for the upgrade, but ultimately the upgrade didn't happen.
I wasn't really planning on upgrading, but since the dialog window showed that I could upgrade, I went along with it. Of course, in the end, the upgrade failed. Thanks.
