> It takes way too much space Snap packages are by a *significant amount* smaller than their deb packaged equivalent, they are shipped as highly compressed read-only squashfs files that do not get unpacked but loop mounted on the host. typically a snap only uses about 30% of disk-space compared to the same amount of files/software shipped as deb packages. i'm not sure who came up with the claim that snaps are bigger, but this is definitely a completely wrong accusation.
