Post scriptum: the USB_BLACKLIST_BTUSB thing only very temporarily
appeared to do the trick.  I currently am back at the situation where no
matter what I do, blueman-browse crashes with an "operation still in
progress" exception within an "operation still in progress" exception
and find no way to make this work.
