I'm sorry to tell you that this wasn't an infinite loop, it was going through the process of generating signed kernel module files for each of the kernel versions you have installed and you have a LOT of kernel versions installed. You might want to try running 'sudo apt autoremove --purge' to remove the older unused kernels, since they waste space on your system and slow down all upgrades of bootloader packages.
Be sure to check the output of this command before saying 'Y', to ensure only the packages you expect to remove are being removed. ** Changed in: shim-signed (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1816319 Title: package shim-signed 1.33.1~14.04.4+13-0ubuntu2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script was killed by signal (Killed) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/shim-signed/+bug/1816319/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
