for metapackages (like (k)ubuntu-desktop), aptitude doesn't care about
the --without-recommends option because of the
- etc/apt/apt.conf.d/01ubuntu file, which contains the recent APT
- ::Install-Recommends-Sections.

I don't know if it's a bug or an intended choice.
