** Description changed:

To reproduce Boot the Lubuntu 19.04 live session in a kvm vm iso and
launch any program and try to type in any program and see that there is
  no way to input text.

I wanted to use the keyboard to pass trhough in a windowed mode text to
a virtual machine on kvm and have the text pass through. Instead I am
only able to input text with the onboard virtual keyboard. I can move
the mouse and was only able to get the bug filed through appport by
installing the onbaord onscreen keyboard. I do not have this behavior on
- an older disco vm.
+ an older disco vm. If I use onboard to finish the install I do get to
+ use the keyboard in the vm to passthorugh on the installation I am able
+ to type words.
