Closing the bug for the current serie since the new version with that
commit is there, a SRU with the patch has also been uploaded to the SRU
queue for 18.10 (it might take some days before it gets
reviewed/accepted)

  After upgrading from Ubuntu 18.04 to 18.10, my Xbox 360 controller
  doesn't work any more. After reloading xpad per modprobe it works again:
  
  modprobe -r xpad
  modprobe xpad
