There is a minor correction needed to the setup outlined above, as the enc-loop 
mapper device is backed by the second loopback device, and the volume group 
consists of the two devices listed in [ ] :

LV
|
VG: LOOP_VG [ /dev/loop0, /dev/mapper/enc-loop ]
|
PV: /dev/loop0   -->   /dev/mapper/enc-loop
( backed by /dev/loop1 )

Mind there are SCSI devices providing 4k block sizes, thus check with
'blockdev --getbsz' to actually run a scenario from 512 --> 4096 bytes
block sizes.
