Hi Kurniawan, from your log: Aborting downgrade from (at least) 5.7 to 5.6. If are sure you want to downgrade to 5.6, remove the file /var/lib/mysql/debian-*.flag and try installing again.
You try to install version 5.6 which isn't even in the archive for Ubuntu Xenial which you are on. This is unsupported in general and in particular mysql downgrades are critical as you can loose your data. Henve the blocker above in your log that you have to opt into. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1816950 Title: package mysql-server-5.6 (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.6/+bug/1816950/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
