Public bug reported:
I set up a PXE server based on Redhat7.5,and has successfully installed
Redhat,CentOS,Suse, but when i tried add the Ubuntu into my PXE server,
errors came out:
1. whne CLient get the IP from server DHCP, it would remind
"fcsk not prezent",
"Target filesystem doesn`t have requestd /sbin/init",
"run-init:current directory on the same filesystem as the root: error 0",
and finally boot into (initramfs) mode, if I input exit under the initramfs,
it will ran end with a line:"
[end trace cd5bd9****]"
2. I have tried re-download the ISO files, the error keeps
3. I have tried Ubuntu 16.04 Desktop, Ubuntu 16.07 Server, Ubuntu 17.04
Desktop, Ubuntu 18.04 Desktop
,Ubuntu 18.04 Server ,Ubuntu 18.10 Desktop ,Ubuntu 18.10 Server. Only
Ubuntu 16.04 Server can boot up
through PXE.
4. I compared the Ubuntu 16.04 server ISO with others, found that the files are
different ,Ubuntu 16.04 Server does have the directory of "Install" and does
not have the directory of "casper" which should contains the critical files
:vmlinuz and initrd.
5 I also used a new SSD to install ,but still failed.
