The mysql error.log was ommitted to be attached which most often holds the key to analyze this. Given that 98% of such errors are broken configurations of the installed mysql that then fails to restart on upgrade and 1% known flakyness issues on restart (the DPKD terminal log does not look like these thou) I'd consider this such a case until proven otherwise.
Could you please attach the error log of mysql (would actually have been auto-attached usually, so I wonder about that). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1816439 Title: package mysql-server-5.7 5.7.25-0ubuntu0.16.04.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.7/+bug/1816439/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
