I'm seeing bind errors in the log:

running on port: 3306 ?
2019-03-25T12:27:33.728974Z 0 [ERROR] Aborting
This would happen if you already have another copy of mysql or mariadb
from another source installed and running on your system. Please check
to make sure you've purged all non-ubuntu instances before trying the
ubuntu package.
