I triaged the problem It was caused by LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 when LANG=en_US.UTF-8. LC_CTYPE was set in /etc/environment.
I am not familiar with LC_CTYPE, but I assume it deals with character conversion somehow. This setting caused problems in Eclipse, which opened files as ANSI instead of UTF-8 text encoding. -- [regression] OpenOffice cannot open special charactered filenames via Nautilus https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/161178 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
