The current scope is to provide an experience identical to the old bar, to limit the confusion for users and QA, but it could surely be one of the things we want to do sooner than later. Should we use it through nsIEffectiveTLDService? I just tried to use getPublicSuffixFromHost, but it doesn't seem to do any kind of verification, it doesn't seem to have a strict option, so I assume we'd have to add a new method to check a given host.
