Thanks for the glxinfo.txt in comment #5. That confirms at least the
lack of GPU support is bug 1823516 (newer, but I think better
described).
Please wait until a fix for bug 1823516 is available. If you still have
resizing problems after that then you will need to reword this bug to
only be about resizing and not mentioning "Chrome does not use GPU
hardware acceleration anymore" etc.
