Public bug reported:

I have reported this through Terminal. I had a warning only a partial
upgrade was possible so I continued (better than nothing, right?) but it
crashed and left me this message:

Can't install 'ubuntu-desktop'

It was impossible to install a required package. Please report this as a
bug using 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal.

I gave permission for all my data to be used.
