Could you confirm that this still occurs on the final gutsy release?
Beta or pre-beta distributions can be unstable. You can upgrade your
system with the commands:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Your KDE Version should then be 3.5.8
Please give us notice even you still have this problems after that.
