Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome
Ubuntu 7.10 - the Gutsy Gibbon
When double clicking txt files, Ubuntu uses Evince instead of gedit.
The result is that Evince reports that can't handle text/plain
documents.
I checked /etc/mime.types and it is correct:
text/plain asc txt text pot
Also checked /usr/share/applications/defaults.list:
text/plain=gedit.desktop
And finally checked /usr/share/applications/gedit.desktop:
Exec=gedit %U
