Thanks for the note and the patch; that's really good news!
At the moment I'm a bit reluctant to introduce a new dependency because theres
no icedtea package in Debian (note that the JabRef package in Ubuntu is taken
from Debian unstable).
Changing the wrapper script shouldn't hurt, and I'll keep an eye on IcedTea.
