Marcocanto, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and
helping to make Ubuntu better. Can you see if any useful information
regarding the system hang appears in the logs?
1. boot without acpi=off to force the system hang
2. reboot with acpi=off
3. look at /var/log/kern.log.0
Can you please attach /var/log/kern.log.0 if information regarding the
system hang appears?
