Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

This task needs volunteers. The packaging originates from the Debian
Python Modules Team. I suggest any efforts to support Python 3 are made
there. It does look like upstream have support, so it'll presumably only
be packaging work that is required.
