Public bug reported:
How it happend:
* I installed updates with the software updater
* I started the dist upgrade from 18.10 > 19.04 after being asked by the
updater to do so
* I received the message that the lock screen will be disabled during the
upgrade
* During the upgrade, I was asked if I want to replace the customized
configuration file /etc/services
* I did a screenshot of the dialog
* I selected the changes and pressed strg+c to copy the content
* The desktop immediately disappeared and the lock screen was shown
* The icons on the lock screen were missing
* When tried to log in, the lock screen disappeared and reappeared again after
a short while
* Via Strg+Alt+F2 I was able to login without graphical user interface
It was possible to repair the installation via dpkg --configure -a
Side Note:
The shortcut Super+L stopped working a week ago, don't know if it is related.
I am not sure if copyq was running when I copied the content.
