Public bug reported: Upgraded from Ubuntu 18.10 to Ubuntu 19.04.
On the upside, Ubuntu 19.04 now handles my unusual desktop geometry, and displays desktop icons within physical monitor dimensions (I have one landscape, one portrait display). The downside is there's no sort option for desktop icons anymore. Icons are snapped to grid automatically, but all arrangement for now is manual. The restoration of "Sort by name" functionality at the very least, and perhaps the addition of "Sort by type" would be even better. ** Affects: gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1826081 Title: Ability to automatically arrange desktop icons gone in 19.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons/+bug/1826081/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
