Thanks for the bug report. Firstly, please run this command to send us more information about the machine:
apport-collect 1827417 and in future you can avoid that by reporting bugs using the 'ubuntu- bug' command. Secondly, it sounds to me that this regression would most likely have been the result of a kernel update, as audio regressions often are. So please try some older (or newer) kernels and see if you can find some that don't have the bug: https://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D ** Tags added: xenial ** Tags added: regression-update ** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1827417 Title: Ubuntu 16.04 - EMU10K1 / CT4832 lost ability to listen stereo on headphones - there is upmixed surround only.
