hi Lonnie, could you please post the output when you run "freeplane" from a terminal window?
If you use freemind, you will most probably lose data, as the two are not compatible. There is a better workaround: Use the upstream provided freeplane debian package: 1. download https://sourceforge.net/projects/freeplane/files/freeplane%20stable/freeplane_1.7.7 %7Eupstream-1_all.deb/download 2. sudo dpkg -i freeplane_1.7.7~upstream-1_all.deb (if you do this, please post the output of Ubuntu's freeplane first, so that I can analyze/fix this) BTW: please also notice my reply to your 4k bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeplane/+bug/1825990 Cheers and Best Regards, Felix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1826867 Title: Freeplane Freezes Immediately After Launching It To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeplane/+bug/1826867/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
