Grub settings were not overwritten; rather, Ubuntu's bootloader was made
default. You could restore old grub settings, from the Live CD, however,
this will overwrite Ubuntu's settings. If you want to add your edgy
installation as a boot option, then you've just got to mount the drive
it is installed on and copy and paste the menu.lst entry to your current
one. Ubuntu is supposed to detect your Edgy installation and add an
entry for it in it's menu (this is what happened with me). Did this not
happen?
