I'm also experiencing this bug after upgrading from 16.04 to 18.04. Removing and reinstalling the package and .Slic3r dir does not fix it.
The Github developer comments suggest this problem was fixed as of slic3r version 1.3.1. The slic3r packaged with Ubuntu 18.04 is V1.2.9. However 18.04 now includes a slic3r-prusa package which works. It reports version 1.39.1 Workaround: 1. Install slic3r-prusa package; sudo apt-get install slic3r-prusa 2. Copy the contents of ~/.Slic3r to ~/.Slic3rPE to restore all your settings. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1787726 Title: After upgrade to bionic/18.04 cannot start slic3r with SIGSEGV To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/slic3r/+bug/1787726/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
