This doesn't sound like a bug at all. You have two different things
installed which are both designed to display the same desktop icons.

Unfortunately there is no way to disable the desktop icons with the
default Ubuntu gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons. So that's the real
issue.

I am going to close this bug because it is not a valid bug. If you would
like to open a new bug requesting a feature to be able to disable all of
gnome-shell-extension-desktop-icons then feel free. That's definitely
sorely missing right now.
