Public bug reported:
When I select "show hidden files" in the Nautilus GUI menu almost all of
my Ubuntu desktop icons disappear. My home folder icon and my trash can
icon (and - oddly - a single .mp3 and a single .zip file - ??) stay
visible on the desktop.
After unchecking the "show hidden files" checkbox, all icons reappear
again.
One additional information concerning the keyboard shortcut "Ctrl + H":
"Ctrl + H" to show hidden files seems to have been disabled in Ubuntu
19.04 / Nautilus 3.32.0-stable. When I press "ctrl + H" now, all desktop
icons disappear for a moment, then reappear without a change. This does
not switch the nautilus "show hidden files" state.
It seems to be a bug in nautilus. Kind regards, Michael
