The snap seems to install and set things up without issue. When you run
it, if you run it from the terminal, you'll see that it is actually
doing quite a lot of stuff, downloading the actual game at that time;
the snap is just an installer.
There's nothing that I see in the description, nor in my attempt to
reproduce this, that would point at a bug in snapd itself, so I'm
closing the bug. If you disagree feel free to reopen (but explain why
you disagree of course).
