Hi, Manoj. There is nothing wrong in what you are doing here. This seems to be an unrelated bug. I am looking at any known problems on cpuidle for power9. Can you, please, open a different bug report, and try a different system for regression testing? From the log message, it doesn't seem there is anything related to initramfs changes, but a real kernel bug, also, apparently, unrelated to kdump.
