I was experiencing this issue with 18.04. Running GA-Z170-HD3-rev onboard audio from the back panel.
"Line Out - Built-in-Audio" would flicker between 'plugged in' and 'unplugged' causing a little pop or drop for a few 40-60ms every 4-5 seconds. I don't think that anything was 'loose' b/c during my troubleshooting, I eventually found a fix that included installing qasmixer before using #20. Also, the problem was not present in Windows on the same machine. #20 works for me (although I didn't need to override the mic, just the front headphone Jack) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1585084 Title: Volume notification keeps popping up constantly (the notify-OSD bubble on top-right corner) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pulseaudio/+bug/1585084/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
