I also should have added a note that if the -generic kernel flavor works
for you and the -386 doesn't, just continue to use the -generic flavor.
The main difference between the two is different kernel config options
being flipped on/off. For example, the -386 flavor disables SMP support
with the -generic flavor enables it. Sorry for any inconvenience this
may have caused. Now that I think about it, I'm actually going to just
close this report as you mentioned the -generic flavor works. However,
please continue to report any issues you come accross, we really do
