Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been
any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue
for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: pbbuttonsd

I have various misbehaviours from pbbuttonsd.

  1. keyboard shortcut for suspend often stops working. Restarting the
daemon corrects this. I have a suspicion that this may be to do with
some bad voodoo between pbbuttonsd and mouseemu, but now that I have
tweaked /etc/rc?.d to start pbbuttonsd after mouseemu I still get the
problem. However it is always possible that I have made a mistake in
  /etc/rc?.d .

  2. sometimes display dims to brightness 1 (minimum) while I am typing
and won't go back to what it should be until I restart pbbuttonsd. The
  brightness buttons are temporarily disabled.
