Sorry for my late response. Using the wizard, Norwegian spell check now works, though there were some issues.
Problems using the wizard: Having Compiz running, the wizard just looks like screenshot1.png (wrong size - leading to an nonoperational interface). Deactivating Compiz, and using the Wizard, it worked.
