So it doesn't crash, but rather it freezes. Today, after clicking on the bottom to advance a month in calendar view (from November to December) it froze. I went into gdb and attached to the (frozen) process. And did a "thread apply all bt" (attached). It really was frozen -- I left it for several hours and it never got unstuck.
