Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: update-manager
kubuntu 7.10 installed from disk, on restarting adept-triangle in system tray;
activated by clicking.
adept update downloads en installs 42 updates from list it has generated itself.
adept stops at installing libqt3-mt. Error screen displays message:" packets
can be broken " if continuing installer, so it stops.
check ok. Then (other bug?) upgrade-message to version 7.10 appears.

I tried this on 3 totally different computers, each has the same
sequence ending in error-message , after ok also the mentioned upgrade-
message.
