Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gedit
I was simply editing a number of files with two gedit windows opened.
The first crash happened when I clicked on the Open toolbar icon.
The second crash happened when I clicked on the Edit menu.
The third crash happened when I press Ctrl-f.
So the action seems arbitrary.
On each crash I could do absolutely nothing, even the keyboard did not respond.
Nothing worked so I had to cold reboot the computer.
Something is seriously wrong and I have no idea what it is.
One other thing. Unlike what is said in gedit's help, I don't see any
Highlighting
tab on the preference menu and I can't find anything that tells me I'm doing
something wrong.
Apart from that, I must say I am impressed with both Ubuntu and gedit.
