Public bug reported: Installing 18.04.2 LTS on HP Elitedesk 800 G1 tower from Unetbootin- created live USB. Worked previously to install 16.xx using same procedure (hours ago). That live USB was created using the Windows version of Unetbootin.
Not entirely sure this is a bug, as A) it could be a system issue, or B) my relative inexperience with Ubuntu installation, but more data never hurts, right? Maybe I found some weird corner case that is frustrating, like, tens of users out there. :) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 18.04 Package: ubiquity 18.04.14.12 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.18.0-15.16~18.04.1-generic 4.18.20 Uname: Linux 4.18.0-15-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.5 Architecture: amd64 CasperVersion: 1.394 Date: Wed Jul 24 00:18:01 2019 InstallCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/casper/vmlinuz file=/cdrom/preseed/ubuntu.seed boot=casper quiet splash --- LiveMediaBuild: Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS "Bionic Beaver" - Release amd64 (20190210) SourcePackage: ubiquity UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug bionic ubiquity-18.04.14.12 ubuntu -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1837694 Title: Fresh install fails from Unetbootin live USB To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1837694/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
