Same problem here. VLC, Totem-gstreamer, Mplayer all have messed up colors (like super-saturated); no problems with this before the upgrade. Graphic chipset plain Intel, xorg driver is intel. Desktop effects are enabled; disabling them from the GUI and playing the video shows the same problem.
