This anoying bug keeps happening on Ubuntu 19.04 Disco. I have two DELL monitors connected via DisplayPort, and when I powerup my workstation with the screens off (via BIOS alarm), the screens are black. However, I verify that text consoles keep working. So I log in and run systemclt restart display-manager to restart the whole display subsystem, and keeep back the graphical logging screen.
Anyone have idea why this happens ? Reading the comments, looks that is years old and is independent from the GPU. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1313539 Title: [DisplayPort] monitor shows black screen and "no input signal" after turning the monitor off and on manually To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1313539/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
