Public bug reported:
As the title says. Every attempt at regenerating the parts database
results in an error: unable to create temporary file.
I have no clue as to where that temporary file is being created. There
are reports of this failure online with at best a vague suggestion to
set permissions for $TMPDIR to 777, with no clue about the value of
TMPDIR.
A related bug report (#3308) was opened and closed a couple of years
ago. But a newer issue (#3437 Feb 2019) is still opened.
I am not hoping that Ubuntu has a fix. However, I hope somebody can give
some indication of where that temp file is being created so I can maybe
fix the issue.
I'm running Fritzing 0.9.3b+dfsg-4.1ubuntu1 on 18.04.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards
Philippe
