Mr_DataWolf, is this still an issue now that the 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon release of Ubuntu is out (kernel 2.6.22-14)? Please let us know. If the issue is still present in the new release, please attach the following information:
* uname -a > uname-a.log * cat /proc/version_signature > version.log * dmesg > dmesg.log * sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log Please be sure to attach each file as a separate attachment. The most useful information will be the output which captures the freeze, you might want to check /var/log/kern.log.0 for this if dmesg output doesn't contain anything. If anything, a digital photo of the output prior to the freeze will suffice. For more information regarding the kernel team bug policy, please refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeamBugPolicies . Thanks again and we appreciate your help and feedback. ** Changed in: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- kernel freezes on startup if nosplash is set https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/141393 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
